TWO BAD FIRES — Fire consumed the plant of the Valverde Glass company at the corner of South Eighth and West Maple yesterday morning, causing loss to the Amount of $5,000. The building was one story in height and built of stone and it became ignited through the bursting of a furnace. It was owned by P. C. Thompson. Robert Good ran the plant. The fire department extinguished a blaze which threatened to consume a box car and frame house at the floor of First street. The damage was slight.
