Frederick George, 81

Frederick W. George, 81, 2401 E 16th St., died Wednesday in Ball Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. George was a native of Muncie and attended Blaine Elementary School and Muncie High School.

He was employed at Ball Corp for more than 30 years before retiring in 1962. Earlier, he worked at Hemingray Glass Co.

He was a long time mem­ber of Industry United Meth­odist Church and was a member of Ball Quarter Century Club. He was an active bowler most of his life and was a member of the church league and VIP Senior Citizens League.

Surviving are his wife. Hester Findley George; a sister, Fern (Mrs. Nick) Futrell, Muncie, and three nephews.

Services will be at 1:30 pm. Saturday in Industry United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory.

Calling hours are 3-8 p m today at Meeks Mortuary, and one half hour before services Saturday at the church.
