SHUM STARR DIES IN WEST
Well Known Former Muncie Young
Man Expires at Phoenix, Ariz.
Word was received in Muncie yesterday of the death of Shum Starr, former Muncie young man, which occurred yesterday in Phoenix, Ariz., where Mr. Starr went four years ago in the hopes of finding a cure for tuberculosis. In spite of the change, his condition did not improve and his death resulted yesterday.
The deceased formerly was one of Muncie’s best known young men. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Starr. His widow, who survives him, was formerly Miss Sue Hemingray. Mr. Starr's parents and his wife were with him at the time of his death. He was 30 years of age.
It is not considered probable that the body will be brought to Muncie.
