COVINGTON, Sept. 29. — [Special.] — Mrs. Richard Ernst and daughter, Miss Sarah Ernst, are home from a trip abroad. Miss Sarah has gone to Dobb's Ferry, N. Y.

Miss Esther Cassady entertained Wed­nesday evening in honor of Miss Mary O. Shanghuessy, of Newport, whose marriage takes place. And Mr. James P. Tocher, whose marriage will be an event of October 11.

Mrs. Charlton Alexander left Tuesday for Paris, where she will make her home.

The Henrietta Hunt Morgan Chapter met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Kate Morhis.

Mrs. Edward Reed has returned to Nashville after a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Shelby D. Rouse.

Mrs. Mary Livingston. of Galveston, Tex., is visiting her niece, Mrs. Edward Ebbert.
