WILL APPOINT A TRUSTEE.

Creditors of James M. Rude Confer

With Referee in Bankruptcy

Durrett.

The attorneys of the different creditors of James M. Rude, the Covington glass and tin manufacturer, who recently assigned, appeared before M. M. Durrett, referee in bankruptcy, at the Government Building in Covington yesterday afternoon. Mr. Rude was present, as was also John P. Ernst, receiver of the Rude plant. Rude was ordered to testify as to the disposition of certain papers and contracts which were misplaced since the assignment. He stated that he had left them in the safe, but did not know what had become of them since. The papers were later found by Receiver Ernst in his office. %%The Hemingray Glass Company was also represented and claimed to have a lien on some of the assigned property. This company's claim was set for hearing for September 13. The creditors will have a meeting in the Judge's library in the Government Building, in Covington, Saturday afternoon and select a trustee for the business. It is the intention to resume operations as soon as the trustee takes charge. There are now 200 hands idle, who eagerly await the reopening of the business.
