MULTIPLIED BY FIVE. Capital Stock of the Fruit Jar Works A Hundred Thousand GREAT IMPROVEMENTS MADE. A Short Statement Regarding the Great Plant and What It Has Accomplished. From Friday’s Daily. The Marion Fruit Jar and Bottle Co. has filed articles with the recorder whereby the capital stock of the corporation has been increased from $20,000 to $100,000. This action was taken at a meeting of the board of directors and officers in this city on November 16. The incorporators are J. L. McCulloch, J. Wood Wilson, Alice Wilson McCulloch, Sallie Rose Deering and Martin Burke. Mr. McCulloch was interviewed by a Leader reporter at noon. It was rumored that a large addition would be built, but this he denied. The increase in the capital stock of the concern was to cover the large increase in the amount of money invested since the original articles of incorporation were filed. It is thought that further growth will be recorded soon. The factory is now running a smoothly as a clock and no shut down is contemplated soon.
