Small fire at King City Glass Works extinguished

A Small Fire.

An alarm of fire sounded this morning at 3:45 brought the fire department to the King City Glass Works, where a small fire had started under the tank, but was extinguished before the department arrived. The alarm was turned in from box No. 15, but the waterworks whistle sounded No. 5. To make it worse when "fire out" was turned in the engineer repeated the alarm of fire, and many people who had refused to leave their beds at the first signal, were given the impression that the entire town was on fire and came rushing to the scene, only to find it all over.
