Old Hemingray Glass

Factory Will Be Topic

 

The mid-winter meeting of the Cincinnati Early American Glass Club will be held at 1:30 p. m Satur­day at the Town Club, 448 Carew Tower, Cincinnati.

J. S. Caldwell. president, will be the presiding offi­cer.

NOBLE A. OLSON, chairman of the program, has announced the subject will be "Mid-West Glass."

Mr. Olson will introduce William Wabnitz, who will speak on the glass com­panies of Indiana.

THOMAS KELLER will discuss the companies in the Pennsylvania area; Mrs. Keller will talk about the glass houses in Ohio, and Mrs. Olson’s topic will be the West Virginia glass companies.

Mrs. James Lee Cobb, Covington, will discuss the Hemingray Glass Co., pioneer glass factory which was situated at Second street and Madison avenue, Covington.

A FEW PIECES of Hemingray glass will be exhibited by Mr. and Mrs. Olson. They received the glass from a workman at the factory.

A tea will follow the program. with Mrs. Emil Graff and Mrs. James Lee Cobb, Mrs. Charles A. Kel­ton, Mrs. Robert Hogan, Miss Ruth Farlow and Miss Thelma Copeland presid­ing.

Members will exhibit pieces from their glass collection.
