— The Hemingray Glass Co., at Covington, Ky., occupy eight spacious buildings, covering an area of 256 feet front, by 450 feet deep. Two hundred operators are here constantly employed. An engine of twenty-five horse-power is used. The building in which the flint work manufac­ture is carried on is 120 feet long by 60 feet wide; the stack of the furnaces, two in number, are 22 feet in diameter and 70 feet high, capable of con­taining 50,000 pounds of melted matter.
