JAMES ARNOLD, age 60, died at Muncie, Ind., July 29th, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were in charge of Rev. Dewey Hole, pastor of the Springport Christian Church. Burial was in Beech Grove cemetery.

For several years the deceased was a presser at the Hemingray Glass Works of Muncie but for the last ten years he had been employed at other work. He was a staunch member of old Local Union No. 23 of Muncie to which city he came with the Hemingray Glass Company from Covington, Ky., and continued his employment until the hand shops were displaced by the installation of machines for making insulators.

Surviving are his widow, two daughters and one son, two sisters and a brother. The departed will be remembered by a number of those who worked in the Gas Belt of Indiana in the years gone by.
