Capitalists Interest in the
New Companies
Articles of incorporation for three new oil companies were filed yesterday in the office of County Recorder Dungan. In the past few months an unusual number of local companies have been organized for the development of the oil territory in this county. The indications are that the opening of spring will witness an immense amount of work in this section of the field. The recent big finds of oil about Albany will make that place the center of operations.
Articles of incorporation for the Kirby House company were filed yesterday. The capital stock is placed at [dollar:$50,000], consisting of 500 shares at [dollar:$100] each. The stockholders and directors of the company are: George A. O’Neil, E. W. Kelley, T. F. Rose, J. J. Dow, J. C. Johnson, W. E. Hitchcock and C. H. Anthony. All are well known local capitalists.
The Concord Oil and Gas company was also capitalized at [dollar:$50,000], Five hundred shares will he sold [dollar:$100] each. The incorporating members are: R. C. Hemingray John C. Gray and J. C. Bartling, all of this city. These gentlemen, with Messrs. W. M. Flinn, T. H. Given and M. K McMullen, all of Pittsburg, form the board of directors. The officers of the company are: William Flinn, president; M. K. Mullen, vice president; R. C. Hemingray, secretary-treasurer.
The Deep Rock Oil company, incorporated yesterday, is an Albany company. It is capitalized Al $50,000, divided into 50,000 shares at [dollar:$1] each. The following Albany men are the incorporators: John A. Goebler, N. R Baker, Elmer Ferguson, James F. Hitchcock C. K. Matthew s and T. A Null.
