Ralph Huff Dies;

With Owens-Illinois

Company 31 Years

 

Ralph Huff, 66, widely acquainted native of Muncie who retired as plant superintendent of the local Owens-Illinois Glass Company plant last December, died at Ball Hospital last night after a critical illness of only a few weeks. He resided at 1018 East Willard street.

His body was removed to the Meeks mortuary and funeral ar­rangements will be made today.

Mr. Huff was with the glass company 31 years and he had been in failing health since last Septem­ber. He was born August 18, 1881, the son of John and Euphrates Trego Huff and he was a member of the Eagles lodge and St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lyda M., a son, Ralph Huff, Jr., a salesman for Owens-Illinois, now in Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Eliza­beth Fennell; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Macken of Muncie, Mrs. Maude Patterson of Maumee, O., and Mrs. Minnie Schwartzer of Riverside, Calif.
