LATROBERS FIND
WORK AT DERRY
148 Men Now Employed
at High Voltage
Insulator Plant
One hundred and forty-eight men at work.
That is what you would see if you were to go to Derry, today, and visit the old Derry Pottery, now occupied by the Pittsburg High Voltage Insulator Company.
Three hundred men at work.
That is what you would see if you should visit the plant two months from today, according to the present plans and predictions of the company officials.
Seven hundred men at work.
That is what the company officials fully believe you will be able to see at the old Derry Pottery, when all of its plans for the future will have been carried out.
The largest insulator-manufacturing plant in the world. That is the Pittsburg High Voltage Insulator Company's conception for its Derry plant.
That the company has a practical commodity in its newly-patented high voltage insulator would seem to be evidenced from the fact that today, 148 men may be found at work turning them out just as rapidly as the present facilities will permit.
New men are being taken on as fast as additional machinery can be set up, residents of Derry being given the preference in every instance. Numerous Latrobers have already found employment at the plant.
It really looks as though Derry has a good thing in the Pottery.
