PAYROLL WILL LIKELY REACH
$3,000, MARK NEXT PAY
So marked has been the progress made by the Pittsburg High Voltage Insulator Company at its new plant, at Derrry [sic] Derry, that it will be but a very short time until the company will be in a position to ask for the payment of the $10,000 worth of stock subscribed by the residents of Derry, and which becomes due and payable when the pay roll of the company reaches the $3,000 mark. From the manner in which new employees are being added to the pay roll, and from the rapidity with which those taken into the plant are acquiring skill in their work, it looks as though the pay roll will soon reach the desired amount. In fact, it would not be surprising to see the very next pay roll pass the $3,000 mark.
New hands are being taken on as rapidly as machinery can be set up and places made for them at which to work. The demand for insulators is coming up to all expectations, and the plant appears to have a bright future in every way.
