Derry, Aug. 23. — While autoists were having all kinds of tire and other troubles, Sunday, General Manager C. M. Semler, of the Pittsburg High Voltage Insulator Company, enjoyed, with a party of friends, a perfect trip to Punxsutawney, the 135 miles having been covered without a single mishap.

In his Atlas car, Mr. Semler and wife, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Yealy and daughter, of Derry, and Mrs. J. A. Hartmann and Mrs. T. F. Whiteman, of Latrobe, left Saturday afternoon, arriving in Punxsutawney Saturday evening. On Sunday morning the party left for Marion Center, where they enjoyed dinner, returning to Latrobe Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Fuller, of Latrobe, in their Middleby car, accompanied Mr. Semler and his guests. The two parties passed several machines on Sunday, which were lying along the road with punctured tires, but not a single mishap marred their entire trip.
