GLASS AND POTTERY FACTORIES TO COMBINE


Several of the largest glass and pottery manufacturers will combine and the various plants will be worked under one management. Merritt W. Gano is understood to be the moving spirit of the combination, and the new corporation will comprise the Denver Pottery and China company. the Queen City Pottery company, the Denver Pottery company and the Western Glass company.

The name of the new corporation has not been decided upon, but it will have Mr. Gano for president, the board of directors will consist of F. R. Ashley, M. C. Jones, Gerald Hughes, G. W. Woodand and Frank Palmer. The first step towards combination was the purchase of the Denver Pottery and China company from Eastern capitalists.

This deal was consummated yesterday, and the selling price was $40,000. The corporation will make large additions and go into the manufacture of pottery and glass or. a large scale.
