It is gratifying to know that, notwithstanding the Fraser panic, the Mormon war, and other kindred troubles, our enterprising people are still earnestly laboring in the great overland scheme, and the huge stacks of telegraph wire which are constantly arriving and departing from our city confirm us in the belief that they are really in earnest.
