Researcher notes:"Covington Glass Works" was occasionally used by both the newspapers and in court documents as an alternative name for the Hemingray Glass Company.
Supplemental information:The Ohio River was not improved to support year-around navigation until the construction of the low-lift dams beginning in the 1920's. Prior to that time river levels would frequently drop to a depth less than that required to enable passage of packet boats and loaded coal barges.
