Sue Hemingray,
Former Covington Belle, Weds
Kokomo Man.
After being twice refused a marriage license at Muncie, Ind., Miss Sue Hemingray, a former Covington society belle, eloped to Indianapolis, Ind., Friday night and was married to David Cusick, goal tender for the Kokomo (Ind.) polo team, of the Central League.
Miss Hemingray has been living in Muncie since the death of her father, Robert Hemingray, the wealthy glass manufacturer, and fell in love with Cusick while cheering his star work when he was a member of Muncie’s polo team. She is a niece of Bradford Shinkle and Daniel Hemingray, Covington financiers, and her mother was one of the wealthy Timberlake family, of Newport. Ky.
Several months ago Miss Hemingray's engagement was announced to a prominent society and business man of Muncie, but that engagement was suddenly canceled.
