FACTORY AT REDONDO

Officials of Big Concern Impressed

With Conditions There

REDONDO, July 27. — Robert P. Frift [sic] Frist and William Schader, general manager and

director, respectively, of the California Glass Insulator Company, were here today conferring with leading business men regarding the erection of a factory at this place which will give employment to a large number.

The tug Redondo, which has been in this port for a number of years, has been taken to San Francisco and replaced by the Pollis of that place. The former boat is owned by the Thompson estate, the settlement of which brought about the removal. The Pollis belongs to the Southern Pacific Company, and is about twice as large as its predecessor. Captain Swenson transfers to the new tug.

The Fraternal Brotherhood held an installation of officers last evening, Mrs. M. E. Keller of the Supreme lodge presiding. The officers were: F. J. Reeves, president; Cynthia Harlow, vice president; Elsie King, treasurer; A. W. Kitto, secretary; Mrs. H. Harlow, chaplain; Mrs. J. R. Nidy, master-at-arms; Harry Colman, sergeant-at-arms; Harold Hamilton, inner guard; Frank Scott outer guard.

Judge L. F. Wells and Councilman J. L. Lechner, together with a number of other prominent Redondoans, will leave tomorrow on a hunting and fishing trip in the vicinity of Mt. Whitney.
