PLANT NEARLY FINISHED
Glass Factory Will Begin Work Early
in New Year
LONG BEACH, Dec. 26. — The plant of the California Glass Insulator Company is nearing completion and it is expected that operations will begin early in the coming year. Only the first unit of the entire plant which will cover ten acres is being completed and it will be in working order before attempts are made to complete the other units. Glass insulators will be manufactured in the first unit and for which five buildings have been erected on some three and one half acres of ground. When this unit is completed work on the construction of the unit for manufacturing blown glass articles will be completed, on a plot containing two and one half acres and after the completion of the buildings there work on the department for the manufacture of plate glass will be begun upon the remaining plot of four acres. The plant is located at the intersection of Anaheim road and the San Pedro line of the Pacific Electric railroad.
