Charles Hawley, the boy who was struck with a glass insulator at the Hemingray glass factory, thrown by Clarence Moscoe, was much improved yesterday and his physician now states that his chances for recovery are very good.
Moscoe, who was placed in jail Wednesday, charged with the crime, was yesterday released, his friends having furnished the $1,000 bond set by Mayor Sherritt. The charge against him is assault and battery, but a more serious one will be placed against him if conditions warrant such action.
Moscoe deplores the fact that Hawley suffered as a result of his throwing the glass insulator, and his attitude in regard to the affair has won for him many sympathizers.
