Kokomo papers are authority for statement that Mr. and Mrs. David Cusick, formerly of Muncie, are separated and that the separation is for good.
Mrs. Cusick is visiting friends at Kokomo and Cusick is in the east. Friends say that relations have not been amiable between them for some time.
Mrs. Cusick, it will be remembered, was Mrs. Sue Hemingray, former Muncie society girl. Cusick was playing the part of star goal tender on the old Muncie team and Miss Hemingray being a polo enthusiast, was carried away by his playing and a meeting was arranged.
Their marriage took place under the most sensational circumstances, and over the wishes of Mrs.Cusick’s friends and mother. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Cusick went to Kokomo to live. It is thought that a divorce action will be instituted.
The little God of the bright red heart and bended bow seemed to have done his work badly with the polo players and their wives. Mrs. “Soxy” Lyons has filed suit for divorce from her husband and Eddie Devlin and Mrs. Devlin no longer speak as they pass by. Mrs. “Spot” Hadley, wife of the former polo referee, is a sister of Mrs. Devlin and is also living apart from her husband.
All of the players who are in domestic trouble were members of the old Kokomo team and most of them played on the Muncie team at one time.
