HOUSE’S PRINTING TELEGRAPH. — the only Direct Line to Louisville and St. Louis, — Union of Lines! — The House Line of Telegraph from Louisville to New York, Boston and Philadelphia, and the O'Reilly Line from Louisville to St. Louis have united, and will hereafter work together in the transmission of despatches to and from St. Louis and to all points in the North and West of St. Louis.
The line from Louisville to St. Louis having recently been re-built, and placed in complete working order, is now prepared to transmit its business with great despatch. The Cincinnati business of this Line will hereafter pass exclusively through the House office in this city.
A second wire from Cincinnati to St. Louis, via Dayton, Indianapolis, Terre Haute to St. Louis, which is now being constructed, (150 miles are already completed) will give to the House Line still greater facilities for the transmission of all Western and North-western dispatches.
The necessary arrangements have been made for the extension of the House Printing Line to Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, via Columbus, Wheeling, and Pittsburgh — thus giving two wires, or distinct routes to the principal Eastern cities. The facilities for transmitting despatches to points not now connected by House Lines are equal to those of any other Line.
The capacity and accuracy of the “House Printing” instrument has been so fully tested, and its superiority established, that there can be no further controversy as to its merits.
Its despatches are Printed by Telegraph in plain English — thereby avoiding the delay and great liability to mistakes in copying.
No expense has been, or will be spared to make these lines permanent, and to systematize the operating Department, (some of the most experienced operators in the country are employed), so as to prove the truth of our motto. "Prompt. accurate and reliable."
A. STAGER,
Superintendent, New York and Mississippi Valley Printing Telegraph Co.
