Illness Is Fatal

to Mrs. Holmes

Mrs. Sarah Elliott Holmes, 912 W. North St. resident of Muncie for more than a half-century, died at Ball Hospital early Friday morning following an illness of three weeks. She was the wife of Minot K. Holmes, secretary treasurer of Holmes Electric Co, and retired manager of Owens-Illinois Glass Co. plant in Muncie.

Mrs. Holmes was a native of Springfield, O., and had been prominent in a number of activi­ties in Muncie. She was a mem­ber of Grace Episcopal Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Casey; a son, Eliot Holmes: four grandchildren; a brother, George Elliott, and a sister. Mrs. Mark Huffman, all of Muncie, and another brother, Jim Elliott. Lebanon, O.

Funeral serices [sic] services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Meeks Mortuary with the Rev. C. R. Moodey officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Sunday.
