IMPERIAL COMPANY PLANT AT NEWTOWN

Frederic A. Duggan and B. B. Dinsmore, of the Imperial Porcelain Company, of this city, have bought the plant of the Newtown China Company, at Newtown, Pa., and have organized the Newtown Porcelain Works, a factory that will be an auxiliary to the main plant in this city.

At the Newtown branch operations will be started in the course of a week or ten days and at the outset employment will be given to about 50 persons. The product of the branch will be the general line of electrical porcelain specialties, such as are made at the Imperial plant here.

This is the second auxiliary plant of the Imperial Company, the other one being at Neptune City, along the Jersey coast. A new factory will be built at Neptune City and will be ready for operation in the fall, giving employment to about 200 persons on the outset.
