The Iron Pipe and Glass Co. of Haverhill, Mass., are at work on their new factory which will be ready by October 1. The base of their product will be a rock discovered there, which, when pulverized, and mixed with ash and other materials, yields a very nice blue glass with out any other coloring material than is contained in the rock itself. They will make pressed mantel pieces, shingles and a variety of other specialties. They will have a tank furnace 8 feet 6 inches in the clear, and holding about 8,000 pounds of metal. Maloney & Co., of this city are furnishing the material for their furnace and are now at work on them.
