Communications Insulator
A new communications insulator, Hemingray TS-23, has been announced by the manufacturer, Kimble Glass Company, subsidiary of Owens-Illinois Glass Co. It replaces the old style CSC-22, and is specifically designed for carrier circuit use on all "point" type transposition hardware and at intervening non-transposition poles.
The new TS-23 has two grooves, increasing its versatility for transpositions. The addition of the second groove makes it practical for use on new transpositions as indicated in the illustration. The entire assembly takes only the cross-arm width of one conventional pin, and transposition may be installed on existing cross-arms. Center to center spacing of wires is 4 in. Minimum clearance between wires at the crossover is 1 in. Further information is available from Kimble Glass Co., P.O. Box 1035, Toledo 1, Ohio.
