Robert Hemingray Dead

Passed Away at College Hill

Sanitarium Yesterday — Remains

Taken To Covington Home.

Robert Hemingray, one of the most popular young men of Covington, Ky., died suddenly yesterday at the Sanitarium at College Hill, Ohio, where he had been for several years suffering with nervous prostration due to overwork that baffled the medical experts all over the country.

He leaves a widow, formerly Miss Nannie Timberlake, one daughter and a son. The latter went to the front in the Spanish-American War. He was a son of the late Robert Hemingray, the founder and owner of the Hemingray glass works formerly of Covington, now located at Muncie, Ind.

His brother, Ralph G. Hemingray, is now the President of the glass works at Muncie, and another brother, Dan Hemingray, is also connected with the same concern. His sister, Mrs. Bradford Shinkle, is the wife of the President of the Covington and Cincinnati Suspension Bridge Company.

A sad feature in connection with his sudden death is the absence of the members of his family.

Mrs. Shinkle, his sister, is at her manor home, Watch Hill, R. I.; Mrs. Hemingray is at St. Louis; his brother, Dan, is in Montreal, Canada, and Ralph is at Muncie, Ind. Another sad incident was the recent death of Mrs. Ralph Hemingray (nee Jennie Matthews) at Muncie.

Universal sorrow and regret were expressed on all sides last night when the news of his death was discussed, as no young man in the city was more beloved or more popular than "Bob" Hemingray, and all who knew him had naught but good words and praise.

The remains were prepared for burial and will be removed to the home of relatives in Covington this morning.
