The Westinghouse Glass Co. have moved their offices from the Westinghouse building, Pittsburgh, over to their factory in Allegheny for greater convenience. Their chimney blowers are at present out on a strike, demanding a higher scale of wages. The company has offered an advance of twenty to twenty-five percent to the various kinds of workers from blower to cutter, and awaits their decision. If the proposition is refused the management say they will close the department for common chimneys for the present. The demands of the workers cannot be met now and sell on the market. The factory is non-union. All the other departments are running along in a satisfactory way and trade is reported brisk.
