The following resolutions, reported by a committee consisting of Gen. Ben P. Runkle, C. H. Fisk, Esq., and Maj. James L. Foley, were adopted:

"Resolved, That, while we indorse the principles of the Amnesty Bill as offered in the Senate of the United States, we demand, as a condition precedent, the passage of the supplementary Civil Rights Bill, guaranteeing to all men, regardless of color or previous condition, strict equality before the law."

"Resolved, That we approve and indorse the policy of the Republican party of the United States in the administration and disposition of public affairs. We believe the continuance of the Republican party in power will bring to the country the greatest public good, and fully maintain the honor and integrity of the nation."
