THE SAMAVOR CLUB

Gives a Delightful Entertainment

Last Evening.

The Samavor Cooking club, that is, one section, composed of Misses Louise Kirby, Mildred Ryan, Sarah Heinsohn, Anna Goddard, and Suzette Kirby, gave a delightful social entertainment to the members of the club and their friends at the residence of Mrs. Robt. Hemingray last evening. The ladies prepared and executed a very unique surprise on the guests. A pretty one act comedy dealing with the troubles of a chaperon and her charges, four young brides, was presented by the five ladies in a manner that brought forth round after round of applause. A dainty and delicious collation was served. Dancing was enjoyed and the event was one of the hits of the season.

Researcher notes:It is speculated that "... the residence of Mrs. Robt. Hemingray ..." refers to the wife of Robert Carroll Hemingray (Nannie Timberlake Hemingray), not Mary Hemingray, wife of Robert Hemingray, Senior.
