MR. AND MRS. GEO. W. SPILKER

Threw Open Their Beautiful Residence

in Honor of Rev. F. O.

Grannis and Wife.

At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Spliker last evening, the members of the Grace Episcopal church tendered an elegant reception to their new rector and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. F. O. Grannis.

No cards were issued but through the papers an invitation was extended to the friends of Rev. Grannis and wife, and of the church.

The beautiful parlors, library, and dining room were profusely decorated with nature's sweetest gifts — flowers. About 200 ladies and gentlemen called and were received and introduced to Rev. Grannis and wife by Mr. and Mrs. Geo. F. McCulloch, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Hemingray, Mrs. Hattie Johnson, and Miss Nannie Love.

In the dinning room Misses Edna Streeter, Malle Maddy, Nadine Wilson, Lois Love, and Suzette Kirby, served dainty refreshments to the guests.

The full Apollo Orchestra discoursed some excellent music throughout the evening.
