The Brookfield Glass Co.'s plant at Brooklyn, N. Y., which had been operated non-union for about two years, was placed under union jurisdiction, a settlement having been made during a conference held with the officials of the Glass Bottle Blowers' Association. An agreement was arrived at between the bottle manufacturers and representatives of the workers whereby operations were to be resumed. The price list and rules adopted at St. Louis in July, 1890, was to govern the blast of 1891-1892, with one or two exceptions, and all factories were booked to start up on time. The conference was held at Philadelphia. |
