SETTLEMENT AT MONTREAL.
Trouble at the Diamond Plant Adjusted and
the Canadian Glass Co. is Unionized.
Advices from President T. W. Rowe, of the A. F. G. W. U., state that after a four days' conference last week with the officials of the Diamond Glass Co., Montreal, Quebec, the trouble at the Diamond plant was adjusted and the Canadian Glass Co. unionized.
The workers at the Diamond have been on strike since last April to enforce the unionization of the Canadian Glass Co., which started non-union in the early part of this year, using Owens chimney machines. The settlement arrived at was highly satisfactory to all.
