Aftermath of the Denver Fire. The two tank factories of the Western Flint Glass Co., Denver, Col, were destroyed by fire last week, as noted in the last issue of the Commoner and Glassworker. A telegram to the Illinois Glass Co. received last week stated that the works were totally destroyed, and that no more orders could be filled. Although the Denver factories were not the property of the Illinois Glass Co., most of their output was purchased and sold by the Alton company, and the fire will handicap them to some extent. An official of the Illinois company stated that many orders for ware were placed with the Denver concern and that it would cause a rearrangement of their order lists at Alton. |
