Rodefer Bros. and the insurance companies agreed last week upon a basis of settlement of their loss by which they are to receive $10,240 if all of the companies pay their proportion. A few of the mutual companies in which they held policies have not been heard from, but the stock companies were all represented, and some of them will pay at once upon the basis agreed on. The firm are out fully $10,000 by the loss; yet there is little doubt they will rebuild here.
