The Buckeye Glass Co., of Martin's Ferry, O., the Hemingray Glass Co., of Covington, Ky., and Dithridge & Co., of Pittsburgh, have filed a motion in the probate coourt at Cleveland to remove William Walton as assignee of the Cleveland Non-Explosive Lamp Co., which assigned in 1884. The same creditors of that company also excepted to Walton's account. They say that Walton's account shows no list of claims allowed against the estate and does not charge the assignee with interest on $30,000 he has had for nearly eight years; that Walton has never tried to collect under and has never sued for the statutory liability of the stockholders, and that there is no reason why the affairs of the company should be tied up in litigation, as the assignee reports.
