THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS Will be Paid to Muncie's Many Workmen Tomorrow. The Pay Roll of the Indiana Iron Company Will be in the Neighborhood of $20,000 and Ball Bros., Will Pay $12,000. — Other Manufacturing Concerns Will Pay in Proportion.
Thousands of dollars will be paid out to employees by Muncie's manufacturing companies tomorrow and a portion of the money will be placed in circulation in the Magic city. The army of skilled workmen and laborers will enjoy a merry Xmas as they will have plenty of good hard cash to expend for presents for loved ones and friends. The Indiana Iron company will deal out a fat wad of greenbacks and several bags of silver. Officials of the company refused to divulge the exact amount this morning, but judging from past payrolls, it is estimated that it will be in the neighborhood of $20,000. Ball Bros., Glass Manufacturing company will pay its blowers $12,000 tomorrow night. The Indiana Bridge company will pay $1,500 and other large industries, such as the Muncie Iron and Steel company, Hemingrays, and C. H. Over & Co., will gladden the hearts of their many employees. |
