They are Making Arrangements to Put on a Minstrel Show for the Benefit os [sic] of the Free Kindergarten Association – A Barrel of Money Company Disbands.

The society ladies of Muncie have decided upon a novel way to raise money for the Free Kindergarten Association. The ladies intend to give a black face minstrel performance in the Wysor Grand and will commence Rehearsals this week.

The performance will be dated two weeks hence and will be under the patronage of such well known ladies as Mrs. Robert Hemingray, Mrs. George F. McCulloch, Mrs. Geo. O. Cromwell and others of social prominence. Costumes and other necessary paraphernalia have been contracted for and will arrive in a few days. A competent manager has been engaged. He will conduct rehersals [sic] rehearsals and stage the show.

No doubt the Wysor Grand will be packed from pit to gallery on the night of the performance as it will be quite a novelty to witness a bevy of society ladies impersonating black face minstrels. Muncie possesses considerable talent and the show is expected to excel the Al G. Fields combination. In a few days the HERALD will be able to publish a list of the actresses.
