A PLEASANT EVENT

Mrs. Charles M. Turner Delightfully Entertains at Progressive Pedro

The home of Mrs. Charles Turner on south Jefferson street was the scene of a very delightful affair yesterday afternoon when Mrs. Turner entertained a number of lady friends. The guests numbered about forty and the social intercourse with music, dainty refreshments and the charming hospitality of Mrs. Turner made the occasion a very enjoyable one. A series of games of progressive pedro was enjoyed. In the lone hand series Mrs. Harry Maddy and Mrs. Robert Hemingray were even and the prize, an elegant spoon, was won by the latter at the conclusion of a game which was played to decide the tie.
