FOR THANKSGIVING.

Some of Muncie's Factories Shut Down For

the Day.

Muncie manufacturers are not observing Thanksgiving with the usual shut down of former years. Some will allow their men to enjoy the day while others say that business is too pressing to allow the shut down. The Indiana bridge works made its employes happy yesterday, by presenting to each man a large, fat turkey. The men were also given the day as a vacation.

The Hemingray plant closed down at noon for the remainder of the day.

The following factories are not in operation today on account of this being a holiday: Consumers' Paper Co., Maring, Hart & Co., Port glass works, C. Hanika & Sons, Muncie Pulp mill, Ball Bros., and Muncie Wheel works.
