New Tank at Hemingray's Giving Good

Results — Good Run at Boldt and

Johnston Plants.

By Chas. C. Mayer.

At the Chas. Boldt Glass Co.'s plant, Muncie, Ind., matters are going along nicely. On the large tank there are six machines operating on fruit jars and eight white liner shops are working on the small tank. Most of the employees were formerly with Marion Fruit Jar & Bottle Co.

The new tank at the Hemingray Glass Co. is giving satisfactory results. It is manned by six shops on insulators, four shops on globe jars, and two shops on jar caps.

The Johnston Glass Co. at Hartford City had an excellent run of glass during last week and there was no spare places during the writer's visit. L. A. 300 and Amalgamated members are working side by side and it seems that the era of good feeling longed for has truck Hartford City as well as elsewhere.

W. B. Rosehaum, who has had charge of the cutting department at the Johnston for many years, left Hartford City last week and has assumed a similar position at Jeannette, Pa.

The American Window Glass Co. are operating one machine-equipped tank at Hartford City. Twenty-six cutters and fourteen flatteners are employed there.

John Eckert, flattener, was elected delegate by the workers at the Gas City Window Glass Co.'s Works.

Some of the jar pressers at Boldt's plant at Muncie are John F. Tobin, Wm. Combs, who is making his home at Marion; A. Robenalt, and K. J. Elet. F. J. Houk looks after the machinery and holds the reins in the mold shop.

Some of the reliable liner makers in that factory are Chris Trainer, Wm. Burns, Fred Clider, Wm. Cloak, and Mike O'Mara, who expects to spend part of the summer at Chicago. — Frank O'Rourke and Dennis Cassidy, liner makers, have left Muncie for Petty Island to spend the summer.
