John Gilchrist, after assisting in putting up some heavy machinery at the old Elmer Glass Works last week, spent Sunday in Philadelphia, returning to Elmer Monday morning where he had an attack of appendicitis at the home of Charles Boone, where he boards. He is under the care of Dr. Cheesman and is a very sick man. His mother, Mrs. Ruth A. Gilchrist, has been with him since Wednesday.
