FLINT AND BOTTLE TRADE REPORT.
By Chas. C. Mayer.
Among the various glass manufacturing institutions in Brooklyn, N.Y., trade conditions are in a very fair shape when compared with periods of normal activity. Every furnace of the Gleason-Tiebout enterprise is in blast; the Brookfield Glass Co. are employing the usual number of bottle shops; at the "Parlor" factory, Ravenswood, L.I., the usual good conditions and excellent prospects for the balance of the blast are in evidence, but at the Williamsburg Flint plant there has been a strike on during the past week which has not been adjusted at this writing, although it is locally predicted that the trouble will be short-lived. -Vice President Croke was here a few days ago looking after the interests of the Williamsburg chimney blowers.
