NEW PLANT AT CLARKSBURG.

An electric insulator plant is to be erected at Hartland, near Clarksburg, W. Va., in the near future. Work on the buildings will be started by Oct. 1 and the construction will be rushed as a fast as the shipping of the material will permit. The new plant is to be operated by the Electric Insulator Co., which will be chartered with a capitalization of $50,000.

The product will consist of glass insulators, for which Jesse E. Inman, of Hartford, Conn., has a patent, and Mr. Inman will be the active head of the concern. The industry will consist of four factories, including a glass plant, a porcelain plant, a sherardizing plant and a machine shop. Not including the porcelain plant, which will be built later, the buildings will cost $50,000. The plant at the start will give employment to 100 persons, but when in full operation it will afford work for between 400 and 500 people, according to a statement made by the promoters.
