It was reported that the Baltimore Glass Mfg., Co., Westport, Md., would begin blowing in their new factory on March 17, 1896, with 16 shops, principally on beers and minerals. This plant was formerly operated by the Maryland Glass Co., with a ten-pot furnace, and had been idle over three years previous to being purchased by the new concern.
