A COMPREHENSIVE TRADE REPORT. By David H. Jones. · · At the Gayner Glass Works, Salem, N. J., Secretary J. M. Gayner reports that his concern is enjoying a very good season and that business is excedingly [sic] exceedingly brisk on the class of ware turned out at this plant. The lines include all the larger sizes of bottles and machine-made goods. In the factory department, J. W. Gayner has charge and is operating two continuous tanks on green glass, the one tank with six shops on large ware and eight machine shops on the other tanks. Eight shops are on carboys and water bottles and two shops on insulators and stoppers. The Salem Glass Works, Salem, N. J., are operating their large factory full capacity in all departments. Secretary J. D. Dilworth reports that business is in a fair condition, but not what it should be at this time of the year. With spring at hand he anticipates a better movement of glass. Indications point to a good run until the end of the season. · · |
