Tank Burst at Salem.

The bottom fell out of one of the tanks at the Gaynor [sic] Gayner Glass Works, Salem, N. J., last week resulting in a loss of about $2,000 to the firm. In the tank at the time was about 250 tons of molten glass and this flowed over the ground underneath the floor causing considerable alarm for fear the building would catch fire. The fire companies were summoned and as a result of their prompt action comparatively little damage done to the woodwork. Repairs are being rushed on the damaged tank and it will be operated as usual in the near future.
