BELLAIRE.

The National Glass Works, Rodefer Bros., have been in operation this week, and will run until the concern is closed down with the others. Lamp chimneys are the principal output just now, although some other goods are being made. The Messrs. Rodefer are anything but jubilant over the present status of things, and fail to see any immediate hopes for betterment of the trade. Mr. F. A. Rodefer said to your correspondent this morning: "You can say that the ideas of Secretary of Treasury Hugh McCullough are mine precisely. Open up the South American, Austrailian, and West Indian ports to us and we will do some business. There is too much of our stuff stays at home these days. We can't sell it here, that's flat; and when we can't, the means for sending it away where we can make better sales must be provided. Exemplify Secretary McCullough's ideas, and it will let us come out."
